Current Projects

Below is a selection of projects currently being produced by Red Ted Films.

EMI CLASSICS
Red Ted regularly produces promo films for EMI Classics, working with some of their high profile artists, including pianist Ingrid Fliter, the Belcea Quartet, composer Karl Jenkins and the CBSO.

BARBICAN CENTRE
Red Ted is about to start on the 2010/11 season of the Barbican's Great Performers. You can see the 2009/10 season films on the Barbican's Great Performers website.

LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Red Ted provides much of the LSO's video content throughout the season. Work is about to begin on the 2010/11 season films. You can see many of the completed LSO films HERE.

BOOSEY AND HAWKES
The music publisher has commissioned Red Ted to make a series of 'Composer Portraits' about their most prominent living composers. A portrait of Karl Jenkins, the composer of Adiemus, The Armed Man and many other hugely popular choral works is now on the Boosey.Com website. In production are two new portraits, on Dutch composers Louis Andriessen and Michel van der Aa.

CHANDOS RECORDS
Red Ted has recently started working with one of the UK's finest record labels, Chandos, on a series of films to compliment their various releases. An in-depth film about Verdi's opera Don Carlos will help promote the up-coming Chandos 'Opera in English' release.

ANDRIS NELSONS & THE CBSO
Red Ted continues to have a close relationship with the CBSO, providing monthly audio podcasts as well as regular video content.
Last year Red Ted Films completed a 30 min documentary about the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra's new Music Director, Andris Nelsons, to be used in a promotional DVD and online at the orchestra's website. An intimate portrait of Nelsons as he prepares and conducts the first two concerts of the season at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, the revealing documentary also features extensive concert footage of the CBSO and Nelsons performing Bartok's Miraculous Mandarin Suite and Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.

LONDON SINFONIETTA
Red Ted has made short films for the UK's leading contemporary music ensemble. A visit early in 2009 to New York resulted in filmed interviews with composers John Adams and David Lang, to appear on the LS website.
